Mazdaspeed Protege meets the KL-323
i completely destroyed a Mazdaspeed Protege during a street race. I shut it down at the end of third because I had about 3 car lengths on it, I wasn't impressed with it at all.
Too bad I wasn't spraying. I'd like to run against one at an auto-x and show the owner the car Mazdaspeed should of made (no offence to MS Protege owners).

Oh yea, why is his car 'LAME'? Because something is faster than your all powerful MSP? Yea, that's not rice-boy mentality...

the MSP is not fast. It's not meant to be fast. It's not supposed to be fast.
DONE.
Bobby, they run low 15s if they're lucky. You definately faster

I don't understand mazda. They had an good handling with the 323 gtx and gtr and awesome powerplant with the engine powering those car and now the only thing they can do is a car the handle good, come on. The old 1.8l dohc puts out 180hp stock and can stand easely in the 200hp, the new 2l turbo is what 170hp at 7 or 8psi and you have to be carefull not to go to high if you augment the boost not to brake it. By the way an msp will be behind me in a curve has i have the suspension to handle the same curve has the msp but i also have the engine to pull me out of the curve.

as for how my car will handle, i have H&R springs, tokico struts, 9lbs Enkei rims, and the Mazdaspeed LSD, oh yeah and 205/50/15 Falken Azenis tires.
i think my 323 could hold its own around a auto-x course. I haven't been this year yet, but i'm on a waiting list for the next one. Next on my list is some sway bars and I'm going to swap the MX-3 front and rear disc brakes, or maybe look into getting a custom set.
I'll need the extra braking power once the ZE goes in over the winter. They already fade after I little hard driving.
