Modded GST goes down

On the way home from school Thursday I had this hot chick in a nice lookin Eclipse GST trying to race me the whole way home. After we got off the interstate she tried her hardest to get up next to me at a light. We finally both got up front at a red light and she starts revving it up like crazy. I put it in nuetral and throw some revs back at her. Light turns green and I KILLED IT. I was a good 4 cars ahead by 90 so i just let off and cruised till she caught up. As bad as I beat her it must have only been exhaust because it wasn't very quick at all.

Im on this forum because my girl owns a 1999 Protege 1.6 and I owned a 2002 Protege5 before the BMW. Ive been beat before by a modded GST in the M3. Being an automatic a heavily modded GST could cause some problems in the quarter mile. The M3 really shines on the interstate.

The chic can't drive....lol.....j/k.

Try that against a modded GSX from a light and see what happens...you will be touched by the traction that car can get.

Racing a GST from a light? Of course you will, they have no traction (2wd)...all you'll get is massive wheel hop unless you slip the clutch. Now, on the hwy....it's fair game. But from a stop an AWD GSX....well, it would be really close.

On the highway i dont think many GSTs could keep up with the M3. Most of there owners probably wish they did but it just aint gonna happen.

Your pretty much correct...really i should've said from a roll (say 50-60 mph)...it'll probably get the jump on the 3, but I'm guessing bottom end, the 3 will eat the T. Wow, now I'm curious....soooooo, who wants to have a go at the M3?

Yeah maybe if you hook each car's rear end up to a tow rope, lol. BTW a mildly modded GSX would rape an M3 from a stop

Ya....no kidding....I have a vid on my computer of the "Aftermath" of a turbo'd DSM after it tried to run an M3 at a light. I had the actual race, but I think I may have deleted it...hit me up w/your email and I'll send it to ya...or someone hook me up w/some spce to get it hosted.

The video will shock you, his internals are SHOT TO ****!

Im sure there are a couple of heavily modded GSXs that could beat a couple of stock M3s but it would not be the norm. E46 M3 333hp stock do the math.
