My First Protege kill in the Focus !

Yellow P5 this morning....silver tinted windows, yellow fogs, exhaust...I didn't know he wanted to go at first, so he got me at the light. Then I pulled by him hard, missed a shift into 3rd, so we came even for a second, lol . Then i grabbed 3rd hard, spun a little then continued pulling by in 3rd....shut it down at about 70...

Street light wars are fun, but going rediculous speeds are dangerous..let the flame wars begin !

he couldn't...

i pulled on him so hard i had caught him already by the top of first..

I said i missed a shift, but i think the more accurate response is I hit the rev limiter in 2nd, bogged, then had to grab 3rd...that is when he caught back up and we were nose to nose for a second before I pulled on him again...he was cool though, he smiled and waived

thats the important part...

I still get the thumbs up from a guy in a Q35 every time i see him (i outran him through the curves near my house one time) and some guy in a HUGE freak'n diesel truck, get the thumbs up from him too (we wont discuss the speeds on that one... but.. started @45 )

"outran" doesnt sound right.. more like.. he just couldnt keep up in the curves.

treason ?? but i bought american !

seriously though, much better actually, compared to a stock 3rd gen.

But mine's got the springs, struts, and sways from the SVT focus...a regular focus doesn't even have a rear sway bar..a regular focus still has very crisp and sharp steering, better than say a neon, cobalt, or corolla, or civic but in sharp corners has much more body roll than a 3rd gen protege

i was referring to treason as relative to Proteges/this Protege forum, just being intentionally melodramatic for kicks. that's all. nice that focuses still got something decent to hold onto (SVT, innate handling)...well the version and year you purchased.

in my experience, it's a mixed bag. real life wins every time. i got your first remark and knew you were messing around, and, it's just me, i seem to always find the need to ultimately clarify myself to be correctly understood even when it's no big deal.
