Protege5 vs Sunfire GTX
Has anyone ever raced their MP5 against a Sunfire?? Im interested in knowing how well it might do.
I have a stock manual tranny MP5 and might be putting it up against a Sunfire automatic that has a cocky driver, only mod on his so far that i know of is he put some Crappy Tire exhaust on it. Upgrades im considering doing before racing him are a short ram intake and changin the plugs an wires. Or would i be able to take him with a stock car?? all input is appreciated.

If its the new 2003 Sunfire, you'll lose. They have like a 2.4l or 2.5l with 150+hp.
The dealer gave me the 2003 Sunfire as a loener car when they were servicing my car. Man, can that car pick up and it was an auto.

Don't worry Jasper. Race him w/o mods. Even if he wins, he is still driving one of the most unsafe, dogshit, bad-handling, ****** cars out there.
Remember Claude Akins:
"You know, there are a lot of reasons why your car won't run right. 'Made by GM' is a real good reason. In fact, here at AAMCO, 9 out of 10 cars we service are certified dogshit GM heaps."
Yes, Tom Slick, a "hork-worthy" car if there ever was one.
Saturn Ion, with 2.2 liter Ecotech AND 5-speed auto, only manages 0-60 in 10 sec. Same as automatic Protege, with ancient 2.0L and 4-speed auto. Yay, GM engineering!!!
