Rx-7 2nd gen-3rd Gen Battle!
Well had the best night tonite. Drove ZoomZoomh's (Hanks) 2nd Gen Rx-7 from my work (in annapolis) to Falls Church VA (hanks house). ITs about a 55-65min drive. Stop and go drivin for a bit. THe car runs Great, IMO. Maybe a little bit of a power lagg. But thats what happens with all old cars.
Anyways. A few exits before the exit i was about to get off on, I was in the fast lane. Doin bout 70 on Cruise. When i passed this Black 3rd Gen Rx-7. Thing looked sweet. I proceeded to move into the middle lane as he was goin to gunshot around me. He pulled aside me put his car in Neutral and started reving it. It was Deffinatly a Turbo! Compared to Hanks 91 N/A. Still a sweet lookin car. So after he was reving it, he dropped it in 3rd and took ooooofffff. I was like DAYUM!! Dropped the rx-7 in 4th to try to catch back up. And almost missed the exit.
Was a very exciting trip. Nice LONG test drive of a 2nd Gen RX-7. Im eager to buy one now. Big Change from the 1st Gen Protege.
Thanks Hank For the Drive!

hehe, now that you mentioned it, that doesn't make a whole lot of sense does it?
what I mean is, I want to take it to get the intake MANIFOLD checked. There's a VALVE in the manifold that alters the intake runner length at different rpms. I suspect that the intake MANIFOLD valves may be stuck, and the engine is choking for air at high rpms...
there, clear now?
