Well, I was sitting at a light last night, on the way home from work, and this riced out CRX pulled up next to me. (I had the neons on at the time so of course he knew I was a rice boy.) He revved, and next thing I knew we were off. I had a really bad launch. When he revved, the light going to other direction turned red, so I had little time to set up. I just floored the gas, dumped the clutch an went. As it turned out, (my girl was watching the tach) I released at about 5K. So, after sitting there and spinning for a good 2 seconds, he was already in front. I managed to pull up a bit, but once again as soon as I hit 3rd gear, the damn guy pulled further away no sweat.

To make matters worse, a late model, silver 4 door Integra, with Altezzas and exhaust pulled up next to me, mouthed "loser" and sped off... What a night!

I know CRX's are fast... (Hell, you can make one run 10's for $5000 INCLUDING the car!) I suppose I deserve the spanking. It just keeps my ego in check!

For all of you wishing to post it, yes, I was OWNED!

 

Well you found out the hard way of what was under the hood of that car. At least you admit to it though. Don't feel bad. Your car still 'looks' better than most of ours, Ricerkid. It's a good thing he didn't meet me at the lights, cause I would just snicker and let him go.

CRXs are the bomb, I was looking for one before I got my car. No luck, though. A friend of mine has an HF which is slow as *****, but the lightest of all of them. He has a Si engine to put it, it'll be quick. He'll still eat my KL-ZE though once I get it.

 

yeah, those CRX's can get pretty fast. A friend of mine is selling his for $5500. Hes got a white CRX with a B16a motor, with an intake and an HKS catback exhaust. That car kicks ***, hes always trying to race Trans Ams. Hes beaten one at the track, but thats with slicks. He cant get them on the road, theres almost no way to get a good launch without burning out in that little car. He gets them in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, but then the TA passes him around 4th gear. Those TA's have excellent top end.
