I'm out cruising on the highway with my friend and we see this new Cavalier Z-24. The Light ahead of us turned red so I swung out into the lane next to him. The light turns green and we both take off. However, he spun his tires and I did a normal start. I had him off the line and somehow he caught me when I shifted into 3rd. So, I see him catching up and I put it into 4th. Suddenly my car takes off and he goes home cryin to mommy.

The second of the two wins was against a Saturn SC-1. I'm sittin at a light blasting my system, when this Saturn pulls up next to me with his stereo blaring/distorting and revs his engine. So, now I'm like, ok it's on. The light turns green and he peels out from the line. I pull out normally, pop it into second and floor it. Just after I floor it I had already gained half a car length on him. I throw it into 3rd and off I go leaving him behind.

 

what kind of car do you have ,, those z24's do have good power under their hood ...........

I've got a 1991 Protege LX with a 5-spd. The only performance mods i have are a 2 1/4 inch exhaust system with a focuz muffler, and a custum intake with a ractive filter.

 

And you still beat a Z-24 I don't know about that are you sure it just wasnt a reg. Cav. Not that I doubt you but I have raced a few Z-24's and they have some *****.

 

My friend's got a new Z24, and I beat him when he had two extra people in his car. Otherwise, I doubt that I could beat him

I got a 2001 LX 2.0

How old was the Z24. The ones that are a bit older are only 140 hp, but the 2000, and 2001 ones are 150hp and 160 tq?
