That's a complicated question... What gen Protege? Any mods? Manual or Auto? What do u consider a "race"?

Assuming the Pro is decent, and 1/4 mile with the first gen.....

And these are just educated guesses....

Protege.
Protege.
Protege.
Protege.
Protege.
Close. Maybe the Civic.

I'm not too race-minded so these are guesses like I said.

You just can't put a car like a Protege against a van (or most SUVs for that matter). Assuming of course that the van's not ultra-modded and the car isn't shitty.

I could tell you for sure first handed that the Dodge caravan will whop any protege

I have Caravan, a little older, but with a 3.5L engine in it. It is pretty damn fast for a "minivan". I took a normal civic (the EX) and left it in the dust. As for other drivers in the Dodge Caravan, I would sometimes pull beside them, and they would pull away pretty fast, and I am taking the rpm up to 4K

As for the other cars, I would think that the MPV should be able to take the protege, (of course if it was empty and a V6 model)

The civic, knowing from playing around with my friend who owns a '01 civic, he kinda beats me 'cause I have the 1.6L protege
So a guess is that the 2.0L pro should keep up with it

I have no clue for the rest of the cars, but for the v6 models, I think it is pretty hard to believe that the pro would be able to take them out.

On a seperate not, those dodge caravans(the top of the line from the factory ) are nice as ****. They are very comfortable...But they do take a lot of gas

You would lose to pretty much all of them, except for the Civic and CRV.

97' Acura 1.6EL auto L
97' Honda CRV auto W
98' Nissan Pathfinder auto L
00'/03' Mazda MPV auto L (lol...they only come in auto)
00' Dodge Cravan auto L
02' Honda Civic Si (EX) (127hp) auto W

I beat a Caravan in my moms MPV. Just smoked it.

You serious?
I thought that the MPV had a smaller engine that the caravan

But come and think of it, the Caravan is much Heavier than the MPV, so I could see it happening, but it must be a really close race, would you say?

Yeh...I actually didn't smoke it, but it was fun.

We started from a roll of 40mph. By the time I hit 85-90mph, I was like a carlength ahead (or van-length...lol).

We used to own a Caravan (not too long ago) and I know my car was faster. Maybe it just "feels" faster.... since you don't feel **** driving something like a Caravan...

What kind of Caravan did you have
The V6 model or the I4
because the I4 is slow as Sh.t

I've rode in one of them and they are way under powered
But, no matter what anybody says, I feel the protege is fast, even though I got the 1.6L which is slow as ****!
