Howdy,
Competed in my first AutoX today, and DAMN was it FUN!!!! The Chesapeake Porsche Club held the event at Six Flags amusement parking lot near Bowie Maryland. Freaking awesome, they are having another practice race next Sunday, same bat time and same bat channel. Hope to see you there; I know I'm addicted now. Enjoy the photos more to follow soon. Will not be the first time will not be the last. I feel the need for some speed! I some sort of adrenaline junky any-who. I raced bikes for 25 years i.e. NBA BMX, USCF Track, USCF Road Racing, NORBA/UCI XC, DS, DH. I race downhill mountain (DH) bikes for two years as a Pro. Now I'm to fat and to old for pedaling a bike to get my speed, adrenaline fix. I don't understand how anybody with any interest in beefing up the performance of his or her car has not tried AutoXing. Only in the Army did I get to take a motorized vehicle and push it to its limits but this is way more gratifying I practically built the thing I'm throwing and the cones on three wheels with tires-a-scream'n!

 

Wasn't **** compare to what the Army but me though! Watching tracers and RPGs fly about six feet over your head is, "FREAKING NUTS"! Not to mention the real, very real threat of a chemical agent hitting you every time you smelt or felt something funny in the air.

 

I really wanna get into AutoX. I plan on it too! Cool, I race DS, XC and DH. I love bikes... alot! But now cars are becoming apealling, mainly because you can go more than 35mph on flat land!!
