Specialty Gaming Computer

Hey all,

If anyone is interested, I have a very powerful custom computer that a friend of mine designed and had professionaly built as a prototype for his business. I'm actually not a gamer at all, so I figured I'd see if anyone would be interested in this computer. Here's the specs and a pic below:

Case.........................MicroFly Mini ATX w PSU Black
Motherboard.............Asus mATX nVidia sckt 939
Processor..................AMD Athlon64 X2 4600+ BOX
RAM...........................Crucial 2GB (2x1GB) DDR400 KIT
Graphics card............GeForce 6800XT 512MB Xtreme
Sound card...............Creative Labs x SB0410 Live! 24 Bit
Hard Drive................Seagate 250GB 7200 RPM SATA NCQ HD
CD/DVD....................Samsung Optical 16x DVD+/- R/RW LightScribe
Floppy Drive.............Alps 3.5" 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive, 1" high. BLACK
OS............................WINDOWS XP PRO OEM 1PK
Lighting....................Blue 12" Cathode Light Kit (installed)

Pictured with the computer is a silver Samsung 19" LCD, optical mouse, Logitech gaming keyboard, and an awesome Klipsch ProMedia GMX A2.1 speaker system (subwoofer not pictured but comes with speakers). Headphones aren't for sale.

Price: Computer alone - $1350
Entire package (sans headphones) - $1750
+ shipping

Let me know what you think!

Know if he's willing to sell just the monitor? If so, could you let me know how much and what model it is...?

Thanks.

Very nice box!
Definitely has the cool factor in it.

FYI GeForce 6800XT 512MB Xtreme is not that great a card nowadays.

Also, is that Mobo SLI capable?

yeah I definitely agree that there are better graphics cards, but I guess that's just the one that ended up in the prototype for a myriad of reasons.

the mobo is a microATX form factor, which currently does not support SLI. however, i understand there are dual cards for a single slot, so you really don't need SLI unless you want an equivalent of 4 cards in a case...

btw, the case is a "piano-gloss" black finish, with a built-in handle on the front panel. woot!

Agreed, if you can't SLI it and it comes with a subpar card.

The reason why I ask if it's SLI capable is b/c if you put two 6800's in, then it becomes a really nice box. So the point is not to swap the card in with a dual graphic card b/c then you're stuck with a useless 6800 card that you bought with the comp.

Sry, don't mean to be an **** - I just don't want fellow madza-ers to get ripped off either.

I agree and you make a very good point here regarding the video card. If anything, this has been good feedback and your responses have been much appreciated.

No problem. It's good to have people looking out for one another. I wouldn't want to get ripped off either, and that's not what my intentions were. Sorry if I came across in that way.

Not at all. It's still a nice case and I think an average gamer would definitely consider this box esecially someone who doesn't care about SLI but wants something that still performs well.
I especially like the "easy to carry" box, makes it easy to bring to LANs. =D
