just thinking, (don't know if this was posted b4) but how about having monthly contests or random giveaways/drawings. i dunno how you'd do it, maybe by post count, or cool story, nicest ride or whatever. but i'm sure there are more than enough sellers on this board that would sponsor these...just thought it'd might be cool to have a forum/club that is more than just "posting"... whataya guys think?

 

sounds like a good ideia, but I doubt it that anyone will be willing to spend money out of their bank account to sponsor contests...
if anyone can get **** from their work for free or something of that kind ......then step forward...............
how about a 12-pack of Trojan condoms for the first Protege of the month ???

well i was just thinking to help these companies along (protege5online etc...) and they could put up the "prizes" or whatnot, and let everyone know that the contest was sponsored by them. and every month or whatever a different company/person could host the contest or supply the goodies. just a thought. i mean, it's not like we'd give away cars or anything huge; you know small stuff like accessories and stuff. and who knows, maybe we can do a online raffle for a big giveaway... just throwing stuff out for you guys.

I think this is a very good idea. But it's really up to the vendors who associate themselves with this site. Don't go expecting big prizes like full exhaust setups or intakes or a set of springs. These may be a tad undoable. :| Maybe a free protegeclub t-shirt or baseball cap. or Darryl could give out a sticker or two. Maybe a lug set for those of you who need a set of rims and will need a good set of lugs (hopefully Mitch, Rishie, etc. are reading this).

 

yeah, i was just thinking about smaller stuff like seat belt pads, shirts, stickers, shift ***** etc. but yeah if the companies would want to, i'm sure ther would be full forum support.

 

well if you wanted to get something funded, then you could start it like an original auto club , in which , we could select a chairman , a treasurer , and so forth ,.

We could make a donation of say 1 dollar per person , wich the treasurer will hold in a bank account , ofcouse the treasure would be someone we trust , . you figure that all who donat the dollare are able to join in the contest , and imagine for donating that dollar maybe they could get a free sticker or something like that , . keep in mind though this is optional .

at 1 dollar a person and 300 members , it would be like 300 bucks , so figure the winner would get half of the ,say 150 , then they can easily get what ever next mod they want to get, .
You also should figure the 1 dollar can't hurt . but there also has to be a tracking type of thing to account for every dollar, lol .. how we would do that I am not sure , .

If anyone wants to add sponsorship on top of that , it would also be cool as they can further promote their name on the contest ,. we could also use this for improvements to the board and such , or have a seperate donation for that ...

it would be nice to get this idea off the ground cause then this board would be bad@ss!!! and the $1 is cool too (paypal?) that's an option. and maaaybe the mods could be the braintrust? who more to trust than the mods? if they screw us, that'd be dick and we'd never comeback. but i've been here since the beginning and trust all the mods, so that's also an option if they'd be willing.

hey, we could even split to have regional contests or whatnot to keep it fair. that way we'd get even more members from all over! if anyone has more ideas, please share. man, this would be soooo cool!

 

I think it is a great idea also. I don't know how much pay pal is but you could use that. Maybe have the anti-NPT help, have a president and a Tresurer to handle the funds. If someone is trustworthy. But mostly everyone on the forum has good morals.

It is strange why no moderators are replying to the thread. They are the ones who will approve or disapprove of the idea.....

 

Alright we go like over 1100 members in this club. Id say that ya maybe at least 300 would be willing to send a buck. If we had Mitch get something going we could all paypal him a dollar. Then we could get something going to where maybe he could give away vinyl decals for the protege of the month. At $15 a pop that would give us enough for 20 months.
