Atlanta-Area Auto Shops

I just moved out to Atlanta from the west coast and was trying to find any recommendations for auto shops to have some work done on my cars (wheel bearings, shocks, tuneups). (Preferably in the North Atlanta area) There seem to be shops on every corner, but without being familiar with the area I don't wanna risk getting conned. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

mazcare. They're not the cheapest around, but they're extremely well trusted and well respected in the Mazda community.

I'm taking the race car to them this weekend to troubleshoot some weird fuel issues. I'll post my impressions once my dealings w/ them are complete

Welcome to atlanta!

Question Atlanta area auto shops

Do you also recommend Mazcare for doing the how-to mods that correct those irritating design faults in 3gen, such as when the A/C comes on when the air-flow switch is on "floor" ? There are also additional mods I would like done, but I don't feel I can do them myself with full confidence. My car is a stock 2002 P5 and I live NE side of Atlanta.

Thanks in advance.

I'm hoping to have my own shop in the ATL area after next summer. I'll be specializing in performance upgrades and custom fabrication but I could also do routine maintenance if so inclined.

My experience with dealers has been that Jim Ellis Mazda in Doraville is much better in regular repairs than Rick Case Mazda in Duluth. I don't know of any independent garages that I trust. Hope this helps.
