LARGEST S.E. Mazda Meet this year

Hey guys, I've got tpost this here to keep everyone up to date with the new Meet I'm planning. Here are the details so far:

When: 2-4-05 - 2--6-05 A weekender!!

Where: Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, AL (about 20 miles south of Birmingham. Just off I-65.

Plans: Oak Mountain has large pavillion areas for gathering. Gorgeous landscapes for picture taking. Beautiful roads for cruising, RC car track, BMX track, public beach, Grilling facilities, Camping sites, fishing. Within 2 miles of the park is Ice Skating, Bowling, Shopping, Backroads for cruising. We are getting a current schedule from Barbers Motorsports Park to see if we can get in to watch the Porsche drivers race. Saturday night we may caravan to a local drag strip about 45 minutes away for some "put your money where your mouth is".

Who is coming?:

1. Myself
2. DavePro5 (Dave-yellow p5)
3. Anarchistchiken (Miller-Silverp5)
4. Minus (Derek-blue mp3)
5. My wife (Kendra-titanium 3S)
6. Jonesboy (Johnnie-black lx)
7. NoClue119 (Ying-titanium MSP)
8. TheWrench (Chollie+wife-yellow p5, green ES)
9. I_Boost (Matt-girly car)
10. Torque222 (john-yellow mp3)
11. Jhova1012 (justin-who knows)
12. SteveO (Steve-RX7turboII)
13. Thurman (Scott- 02dx)
14.
15.
16.
17.
18.
19.
20.

Also, I'd like to think our first sponsor www.BHAMRACING.com for helping me with the tab on this one. They are providing grills for cooking out on and also helping with the cost of renting the pavillion and supplies.

I'd like to ask everyone bring $10 to help cover some of the costs of this event and the food. You will most likely need $2 a car or so to get into the park. I'm going to see if I can get this waived for a large group or else you can just pay this entry fee out of the $10. Remember this is not required just requested. I'd rather have a lot of people show up and not pay then not have people show up because they didn't want to.

A few rules: these must be followed at all times.
#1. No alcohol. This is a statepark and you will be ticketed or arrested.
#2. No racing, heavy accelerating or burnouts
#3. No fighting. I don't care how much you hate me. No'one wants to go to jail in Alabama...

thats a good point. I took a fri/mon off to drive to ohio and it wasn't that bad. How far of a drive do you think you have??

I think on the 4th (that friday) I'll be at home during the day putting a header and MIL on Thurman's car.

Do you guys have any preference of events saturday after lunch??? I was thinking either bowling, ice skating, Watchign the porsche's ar Barber's (if available) or a long cruise. Later that night we're all caravaning up to Lassiter Mountain Drag strip for some smack talk and racing. Sunday will be pictures and lunch and then most people will be heading home.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 10:40 PM.
