Im signing up! Who else is going ? We need to show some strong support here...Plus who wants an oppurtunity to drive a Mazda 3 to its limits!!! ME !!..plus they have all kinds of other fun activities,and Mazdaspeed vendors..June 19-20...

 

I'm going to do my best to be there! I didn't realize they were coming to St Pete, my brother lives there so I can just stay with him overnight. What day do you plan on going? I've got to check my wife's schedule, if she has to work I'll have to ride my motorcycle down.... that's a rather boring ride on a sportbike.

 

I plan on going both days probably the driving clinic and competition lasts most of the day...and there are other things to check out there too...like a Mazdaspeed vendor stand!

 

Rev it up rocked!! Went on sunday, didnt do the competitive drive, but they had EVERY style Mazda available to drive on a road course. Drove the the RX-8 3 times, the Mazda 6s and the Mazda 3s five door, and the Mazdaspeed Miata...WOW!! what a great time. The RX-8 auto, I was NOT impressed with..My 88 MX-6 GT is much faster. The 6 speed however screamed....only able to get it up to like 6500 rpms because its a short course, but this car is fast!! Still got the rear end to slide but they gave me dirty looks. My impression of the 6 was good, very torquey, held flat, felt like I couldnt push it as hard as the other cars though...VERY impressed with the 3..much better acceleration than a P5, very neutral car, LOVE the interior. The Mazdaspeed Miata was great, pulls hard,as far as i could get it to wind on the course, could hardly hear the turbo spool, but this car LOVED the slalom they made...Good Times!
