UPDATE: Nitto Tire 2001 IDRC International Finals
this is for the Drag races on Dec 1st and 2nd at LACR in Palmdale, CA.
Racers, Race Fans, Sponsors and Media:
***PLEASE POST/READ THIS INFORMATION ASAP****
The 2001 Nitto Tire IDRC International Finals Presented By Toyota is ready to rewrite the record books. Since there is a chance of rain on Sunday, the IDRC is ready to modify the schedule in the best interest of the participants, spectators, sponsors and media. Here are some of the possible modifications to the schedule:
Plan A-If weather forecasts improve for Sunday’s weather, we’ll use our original schedule
Plan B-If weather forecasts predict late showers on Sunday, we’ll eliminate our last chance qualifying round for heads-up and begin eliminations for all classes starting at 10am on Sunday
Plan C-If weather forecasts predict showers all day on Sunday, we’ll still run qualifying on Saturday and eliminations will be re-scheduled to Sunday, December 16th.
Plan D-Depending on forecasts, IDRC may also reschedule event to a single-day format for Saturday.
What this means to you:
BE THERE SATURDAY!!!
Racers: Show up on Saturday early to ensure that you get as many time trial/qualifying opportunities
Race Fans: Be there Saturday to see all of your favorite racers. Remember, if rain forces a rescheduling of the finals then its probable that not all of the racers will be able to make the rescheduled eliminations on December 16th. With a chance of qualifying and eliminations being completed on Saturday, you can’t miss your chance to see your friends and heroes race.
Sponsors: Set-up schedule remains the same
Media: See Racers and Race Fan instructions. Be there Saturday to record history in the making
