Request: 3g Protege: OEM perimeter alarm

hi everyone! has anyone ever installed the perimeter alarm with shock sensor for the 2003 protege 5 yourself? how hard was it? you see mine came without it and was thinking of saving some bucks if i can install it myself...

Sorry, mine came with the alarm; I had to come to this site to find out how to make it less sensitive because it was going off every time a loud car passed by.

yes, I have installed it. I have the install directions scanned to PDF somewhere, I'll have to post them and move this back into the How-To forum

I installed it too. It came with a good set of directions. It wasn't very hard.

I have a DEI perimiter built into my remote start/alarm and I kinda hate it. It goes off all the damn time!!

thanks.. it would have taken me a while to find the PDFs (I actually scanned in my paper copy of the instructions).

it's a decent basic perimeter/shock alarm that's crazy, crazy easy to install

exactly, the 'worst' part is pulling the gauge pod to install the warning light, just 'cuz I didn't want to scratch it by mistake.
