ILLINOIS protege meet

SLPRprotege:
Would you be terribly disappointed if we had this meet on April 27th, since it seems like that's good for most other folks?
And then we would PROMISE to hold our next meet in the summer on a date convenient for you?

Yea!!!!
The 27th it is then. I will have directions posted by 4/10/02.
We can officially start at 1pm, but I will be there as soon as possible afterward. (I work about 25 mins away and get off work at 1pm).
Cool. We finally put the date to bed then. :-)

Pete:
I can get there at 1:00 p.m on the 27th....no prob.
And if we get a chance, I'd really like you to take a ride in my car and give me your opinion on what I'm afraid might be noise in the new windshield.

I guess that would be ok if you went ahead and had it on the 27th. I just won't be there. You just won't get to see my car. There won't be many gen1's but that is, ok....
Have fun guys.

Jeez..now I see why these meets don't happen very often. Too many people to try to coordinate, people like Mr. X start threatening suicide and such if they can't make it, etc. Too much drama.
Patrick: It seemed like this time around, April 27th was better. That's still too early to accommodate folks who are away at school, hence a second meet in the not-to-distant future. Do you think you can hang on 'til then? And like I said, we would make sure that the second meet would absolutely be convenient for you...in fact, you're hosting it at your place, right??

I'd like to drive my car down from Wisconsin some time. I haven't been down to Chicago too often, but I'm sure there is a lot to see.

I can wait till sometime in June. No big deal. I didn't say anything about having it here in DeKalb, but I guess I could get something set up with my car club in town and find a place to meet. If nobody mines the ride out to the corn fields of Northern Illinois?

Patrick: Actually, I was kidding about having the second meet at your place, although NOT kidding about having it at your convenience. Personally, I have no problem with DeKalb, though
GI Jason: Yes, there is quite a bit to see in the Chicago area. Was there anything in particular that you were interested in?
