Mazda car show - St. Louis - January 27th - Cash and prizes!
Tuxedo Park Racing is hosting an open house January 27th!
In addition to showcasing some of our race cars and customer cars, Tuxedo Park Racing is hosting a small car show open to Mazda powered or Mazda bodied vehicles only. The show and open house will run from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
First place will receive $100 cash, plus a cool trophy. Second and third will receive ribbons and glory. Everyone who enters can expect to have a great time at the open house.
Rules:
If you want to participate, you must e-mail steve@tuxedoparkracing.com with a brief description of your vehicle, no later than Wednesday, January 17th. Pictures are a plus but not required.
10-12 finalists will be selected based on these e-mail to participate in the show. Notification will be e-mailed and posted here no later than Saturday, January 20th.
Finalists will be set up indoors in our shop in Sauget, IL for viewing. All finalists must be able to arrive by 10:00 a.m. January 27th for vehicle placement, and must be able to leave your vehicle until 4:00 p.m. for public display. There is plenty of space outside for trailer storage if you need it.
All cars will be judged by Tuxedo Park Racing staff on one criteria only: best quality build for the car's purpose. That means that whether your car is built for show, street, strip or track, it could win, as long as it is well put together.
No graphics, decals or signs more risque than PG-13 and no advertisement of direct competitors to Tuxedo Park Racing is allowed. Decals from nationally known performance shops such as Mazdatrix, Pettit, Gotham etc, are okay, if in doubt please ask first.
Trophy presentation will be at 2:00 p.m. We anticipate that we will have some lovely ladies from the Penthouse Club on hand to present the trophies.
This is going to be a fun day - come and be a part of it!

And info on the open house...
Tuxedo Park Racing Open House and Car Show
Everyone is invited to come check out our new space, facilities and race cars January 27th from 11:00a.m. to 4:00p.m.
This should be a good time, we expect a good crowd and plenty to see and do. There will be giveaways, a Mazda-specific car show, demonstrations of our Dynapack 3000 chassis dyno and much more.
Free popcorn and soda will be available, plus fresh grilled hot sandwiches at a reasonable price.
Dyno demonstration pulls will be made at 11:45, 1:15 and 2:45. If you're serious about performance tuning and you've never seen a Dynapack in action this alone will be worth the trip. Tours of our fabrication, machine shop and mechanical facilities will be offered throughout the day.
We will have a small car show open to Mazda powered and Mazda bodied vehicles with a $100 cash prize for the first place finisher. (Details on the car show and rules will be posted in another thread). Winner will be crowned at 2:00 p.m.
Our SCCA road race RX-8 and Mazdaspeed Turbo Miata will be on display, along with numerous customer cars featuring both import and domestic platforms and powerplants.
Vendors and partners scheduled to attend with demonstration, hand-outs and samples of the work:
Solo Performance Specialities - bringing along their mobile store offering helmets, safety equipment, Redline products and more
St. Louis Customs - showcasing their custom appearance, paint and audio work
Izzy's Custom Cages - one of our partners in roll cage and fabrication work
New Signs Fast - vinyl graphics, complete car wraps, signs and printing
Sports Car Club of America - the oldest and largest auto enthusiast club in the U.S.
Penthouse Club - classy adult entertainment right next door to the shop
Archel Group - powdercoating and specialty metal finishing
And we are adding more daily!
Did we mention that we are in Sauget IL and there are plenty of places to party after the openhouse right next door?

Directions to the show/open house:
From I-70/55/64 take Route 3 South. This is the last Illinois exit when headed west, and the first when headed east, just across the river from downtown St. Louis.
Go through one traffic light then take a right in front of the gas station on "Yellow Brick Road". Head toward "Pop's" nightclub, then turn right immediately in front of the "Penthouse Club".
Drive north along the building until you get to Bay #4 (there are big "4's" painted on the wall).
Entrance is through the roll-up door. If the door is closed, lift it up and come on in. We will have a temporary "person sized" door up in place of the roll-up after 11:00 for foot traffic.
Thanks! Steven

I wish I had a little more notice. I've got some new goodies on my pearl white Mazdaspeed6 I 'd like to make it out to a few shows this year. I'd do this one if I had more notice.
Maybe some other time. Good luck.
