Everything not related to personal things(personal being Paypal, E-mail, Online banking, etc.) is all scotty878 for me...Why bother with more than one name?

I'll go over to MSprotege now and give it a bump!

I would like to be in this but since I live so close to awr I'd rather just drive by and pick it up with cash... I guess I'll give tony a call.

you're more than welcome to do some kind of retail shopping on your own but these prices are supposed to be just for this GB. MSRP is $399

I have posted some more info over on the other board today. So far some interest is being shown but no actual bites. Seems pretty typical for group buys no? I know there were a few in the past I wanted to get in on, but finances prevented.

I would think for as much as people drive their proteges hard they'd not consider $ >400 that much money to prevent their engine from blowing up. I know people with MSP's thatspend more than that on gauges they don't need.

Priorities. Too many people would rather look good than have the ability to use their car's performance to the nth degree. I have never been a slave to fashion (much to the chagrin of various women in my life), I'm a typical engineer in that I value function over form. Form does have its place, but I would rather have something that works instead of something that only looks rad.

I'm getting antsy too. After the huge GI thread on the other forum you would think there would be people crawling all over this. Of course it is getting close to the holidays and folks are in the usual end of the year financial bind. Still, they could always ask for someone to give them this as a present!

I wonder if more people would look at it on here if it weren't in the vendors section. Too bad we can't put up a huge scrolling banner at the top of the home screen..."Buy a baffled oil pan, or else!"

Okay, it doesn't seem like anyone from over on msprotege is getting on board. Matty mentioned something about another Pro board in a previous related post, did anyone post this over there? Or am I going to just have to suck it up and resign myself to paying full price when I get home? Wah, Wah!!

I think you'll just need to have a little more patience. Group buys like this are never instant. The last one I did took a little over a month just to get everyones payments in, the product made and shipped. Just give it a few more days.

This is my first GB so I don't know how they go. I figured there might be some sort of time limitation. I'll take a chill pill and wait.
