Wink Alberta regional protege meet!

Who would be up for this? red deer seems like a good central meeting point, besides is a nice little city. I'm thinkig that september 7 or 8 would be a good time as it is one week after long weekend and would give everyone plenty of time to book time off if need be. If no on else is up for it I will just drive up and hang out at the mary browns chicken parking lot with my hood up and a lonesome tear in my eye.!???!. uh yeah

Okay I'm game. I would think that 7th Sept. would be better as it is a Saturday. How about someone scouting to get some ideas on places or is there anyone from Red Deer on the board? Parking lots are good but Saturdays most places are still open with the exception of industrial businesses. Gasoline alley is probably out of the question as it is quite busy or maybe an out of the way corner at one of those businesses there.

As for booking time off, err, I don't think we will have to as it is only an hour and a half from Edmonton and a Saturday.

Cool, I also have a friend in RD who works at Century Sales. Hmmmm, wonder where they are and is their parking lot closed. Probably in the industrial area. Not good. I should drop him a line also and get another set of eyes going. May have to explain the situation though.

i might be able to make it. sept 7 or 8 works ok for time.

i'd like to have my calipers painted by then but between moving and seattle vacations i doubt i will have the time.

so my car will look the same.

I would be the same as Alco but maybe after the meet I could find the time to paint my calibers too! Otherwise count me in! Just state the location and time.

Wow, Richard what a great idea. That's why you get paid the big bucks .

Funny you should mention that dealership as my neighbour just told me about it last night. He is a truck driver and he was coming back from Calgary last night and said he saw my yellow zoom zoom in Red Deer at a dealership. However he said there was only one yellow but it was at the end of about a dozen P5s in a rainbow of colours. Of course I asked him about the new blue but he does not know or remember. The last time I was through RD it was not finished as yet so it's good to know.

As for using that dealership, I would think we would have to contact them. I think it is a perfect place and maybe would be great promotion for them as well.

Aw man!!

Sounds like a total blast, but you couldn't have picked a worse day for me!! Well, actually, you could have picked the next weekend. That would have been worse..

First three weeks of september are definitly out of the question for me. I get married on the 14th, so I have a wierd feeling that I'll be pretty busy up till that point.

Next time!!!

Okay so I hate waiting so I went ahead and contacted the dealership in Red Deer. I spoke to one of the sales guys there as the manager was busy and I floated the idea of the meet there and he thought it was a great idea. He will pass it on to his manager and he will give me a call back asap. I said it would be a beneficial thing for both of us and a perfect fit. Let's see what they say. Hmm, maybe we can get them to do some judging a la some sort of Show & Shine and award prizes. Now there's a thought.

Jason, congrats again. Now here are my words of wisdom after many years of marriage; learn to say these two words "Yes dear" .

And Richard, congrats on your anniversary too.

Spoken like a true veteran!!

And yes - congrats to you Rich! It seems there are so few marriages these days that make it beyond the 2 year barrier. I know Shell and I will be lifers!
