Calgary - Where to fix tires? Help!
Mmm ... this is a black Friday! Things didn't go very well at work. And when I got to the parkade?! I got a flat!
So I decided to change back to my summer tires & see if I can get the flat fixed at the same time. Should I go back to the dealer? Or are there better places in town? I'd like to get it done some time on Sat if possible & it's very difficult to get appointment with the dealer at this 11th hour ...

Well, the situation got from bad to worse ...
The summer tire plan did not work out, for obvious reasons.
I actually got an appointment at the dealer on Sat. They found that the tire was ripped on the side (I guess because I did bump on the sidewalk the day before), and cannot be fixed. I took it to Fountain (in the major snow), but they can't help me either because they do not have my tires in stock.
Now I have to call some Toyo dealers in town to get a replacement tire (if they have not yet discontinued my model). Anyone have experience with OK & Tire Craft?

OK tire is usually pretty good. I have dealt with the one on Northmount Drive before, and I felt that I was treated fairly. No experience with tirecraft. Blaskin and Lane can be pretty good pricewise if they have what you need.

So I called Tire Craft & OK about replacement tires. Turns out that my model has been discontinued & I need to get the new Toyos. They are $150 each! (~$170 after tax!) I was shocked since I got all 4 plus steelies for $600.
Anyway, North Hill is currently doing a promo on Toyo's that will fit. I'm going Fri to put in my summers (fingers crossed ... no more snow storm like last week) & replace my winters.
Another $400 down the tube ...

Yes, I got mine at North Hill. Toyo Garit HT. $140@ with 10% off. I phoned Tire Craft & OK Tel, and this is a pretty good deal.
I guess now that I change my tires every season, I'm not as concerned about rotating tires as before. Thanks for the tips - I'll keep that in mind.
