CanTire auto catalogue

Sorry if this was common info, but I just found out about this....

I was in CanTire last night, and on Chris's (Skyhawk's) advice, I asked to see their auto accessory catalogue. Wow....that thing was huge! And there was a ton of stuff in there from many different manufacturers.

However, the only problem was that there were no prices. The guy said he'd have to call a place (??) and check the price, but he said they were now closed (I was there at 7:00 pm).

Anyway, lots of cool stuff to see in there....Injen intakes, AEM intakes, strut tower bars, etc. etc.

Canadian Tire can be such a rip off on Keystone stuff.....you can get all the same stuff on www.Driverfx.ca (which is in cahoots with canadian tire......except you pay the absorbent shipping). I used to work there, so i feel it's ok to say this.......but whatever you do make sure you watch them like a hawk......last thing you want to do is put a deposit down for something that arrives 4 weeks later, only to find out that the putz behind the counter ordered the wrong one....if you're getting parts from the store make sure they turn the monitor towards you so you can see what they are looking up....it might save you a trip back there.

oh yeah be warned......when the guys at canadian tire say "that's a dealer part...." chances are they are too lazy to look in a book to find what your looking for.....man I used to use that line, like it was going out of style....last time i went there they tried to use that line on me....luckily i have a sense of humor.

Was I right or what Mike ? I saw the same thing with the prices or lack of but I found it a good resource as to what was available. I did notice that so much of the stuff was for Hondas but then again they have been doing that for years.

By the way I asked about that Ractive intake for the Mazda Portege and the guy at Part Source said they do not make it for the Protege. Hmm, I told him I have seen it in several pretending that I needed one. He said his system does not show any. So the upshoot is that I was not able to get a price for you. So sorry.
