Talking Picking up my new P5 Tonight

Just wanted to say that I'm picking up my Yellow '02 P5 from Sunridge tonight.

YES!

(I've been wanting it for about 6 months now...)

I almost decided not to because of the increase in insurance, but what the hell ;-)

I plan to do some external moding early on, and nothing warranty voiding for a few years

Maybe you got the one they were going to sell me ;-)

Well... I'm going to paint the calipers red, maybe paint the front grill red, and (sooner or later) I'm going to get the gold or silver fade to black tint :-)

(Does anybody know what that stuff looks like from the inside? Does it look like normal tint when you're driving?)

Hi and congrats on your new P5 and welcome to the board. If you want to know what a Vivid Yellow P5 looks with a red grill here is mine

Thanks for the welcome

and blue underbody @ night wave to me!
Have you ever been pulled over for having them on while driving?

I want to put some on (Not sure what colour. Either Blue or Red) but I don't want to get hassled.

nope, i have a blue halo license plate frame too, and have never been pulled over.. but if i see a cop i'll shut it off, or i'll pass him and switch lanes/shut off neon and look like the other cars.. if i see him turn on his lights then i know im in trouble lol but he'll have to catch me!

I never noticed. Welcome Spanks! If you see, which you will, a silver P5 with a blue neon light under it , give the guy driving a dirty look because he cut you off. Hehe EM!

Welcome to the board Dragon - and a Calgarian too!!

Not everyone with blue neon at the front will cut you off though.. well not if I am driving... PR_Owner probably goes too fast for anyone to see his neon

We have our neon and led (both blue) on switches and we turn them off when we see cops too. But we haven't been pulled over yet

Ok, I picked it up last night, and proceded to drive it around for about 4 hours :-)

I'm pretty happy, and everybody here at work seems to like it too.

Does the guy w/ the P5 that (I think) lives near 17th & crowchild frequent this board? It's yellow w/ the gold gradient tint.

I'm just wondering what the tint cost, and where it was done.

Does anybody else have the Electochromatic mirror w/ the compass/temperature? I got it, but I still need to install it. Is it hard? (I said that I'd install it to save some $$$)
