Question Protege 5 Roof Rack?

Does anyone in Edmonton or area have any pics of any dealer or aftermarket roof racks for the P5?

If you want to see a roof rack go to a dealer near you, we all have them, well at least we do. We normally have one installed on a car for you to see. I work for Jarman Mazda, but you can go to any dealer. call me if you want. 474-3458 ask for Jim.

If anyone's seen a typical THULE rack, that's pretty much what the one's Jim's talking about looks like. When I bought my P5 from Jarman last Feb they had one in the showroom with a rack on it. At first I thought it was a Thule but I seem to remember seeing the MAZDA name printed on it somewhere.

If you haven't seen any thule racks, perhaps you've seen a golf or a jetta with a roof rack. Those look pretty similar too.

Hey man, quit shouting. Read some internet etiquitte guidelines. Caps are typically used when someone is mad or angry, therefore they are "shouting".

Hi Fireball

I got one installed when I bought my P5. It is quite different than the US model. I have it off right now. It is an easy job to put on and off and has locks. I will try and take some photos tonight and post them if I can figure out how to do that

Cheers
Chris

Just buy one from an American who's selling. Lots of them like to take them off, and if you get an OEM rack, at least it will look half-decent. The Thule racks can suck my ****. Seriously ugly. Just my $0.02

What people are selling them, does anyone know the part number, I might be interested in one. It sure beats the THULE rack that sits like 4" off of the car.

Don't worry about getting one right frm Mazda. I tried, and I was quoted over $500 CAD for it! Just look for someone in the US selling one. Post an ad in the "For Sale / Wanted" section here.
