Vancouver Meet III
Yes, it is happening, just a little get together, at Cactus Club, on Kingsway, across the street from Metrotown.....
Sunday the 20th of January at 2:30pm.....
As well, apparantly Signature Mazda wants to get a parade going from Richmond to Chilliwack and are hoping to get 50-70 mazdas in there, so if we could get some Proteges out there, and advertise this forum as well as www.mpsport.net that'd be great..... should be tons of fun

Next meet?
Did the Jan 20th meet go off as planned? There was quite a bit of snow around my area.
When the next meet? I know there's some big import meet going down July 20th, anything specific for the Mazda clan?
Post it here.

'01 es sedan. what about u guys? still stock but i'm checking out every possibility on improving. not much protege sedans around here in 604.its mostly the 5 doors. so it'll be nice to be one of the few. I've been snooping around looking for performance and accessories. I'm trying different stores to get cheapest stuff. besides its hard to buy things when your still paying for it. hehe. oh yeah hot import nights in seattle on April. i might go if i can get tickets.

bigblue, I had a little fender-bender on the 19th, so needless to say, I wasn't in the mood to go to the meet....
twi5t3d, you're not the only one with a sharp lookin sedan
If you ever see one with tinted tail lights, and soon 20% tinted windows, honk, that's me. Oh and yeah, rollin on 15" hubcaps hehe

Anyways, we're trying to get a vancouver club organized. We just need a couple more people who are committed to getting this thing up and going.
This forum here is awesome for getting information about our cars and about technical stuff. But I still think its good to have a club that is local as well. Personal contact and meets are a part of enjoying one's car.
We are calling our club MPSport, which stands for Mazda Protege Sport. On our local forum, we discussed many names and ended up with this one because it represents what we want our club to be. We're trying not to exclude those outside of the greater vancouver area, so we decided not to include vancouver into our name. We aren't all about performance mods, so we didn't want to call it something about performance. It's for the love of our cars. Some of us may just want to dress up the car, others may want to improve performance. Some want a bit of both. Others may just like their car the way it is and just want to know more about their cars. (at least this was my interpretation hahha).
Check out mpsport.net. There is a link from that page to the our other forum. We haven't decided exactly what direction we want our homepage to go yet. There are not as many experts on that forum as there are here. Most of us are already posting on both the forums. But I like to keep vancouver specific stuff there in general, but I break that rule from time to time. We usually discuss about meets on that forum and bring the information over to this one.
Currently, that host server for our forums is upgrading, so it may be a few hours before it is up again.
Cheers
