Want Short Shifter in Vancouver,Canada

Where in the Vancouver area, can I find a place where they sell the KartBoy Short shifter and Bushings?

I did a search but only found www.tokigiracing.com which charges $16 to ship to Canada...that's BS. + it's US curency that really rapes canadian money on the exchange rate.

Anyway...help me out here...thanks

Start with the source. Ask Kartboy (aka All Wheel Engineering) who their Canadian distributors are.

I believe that www.tokigiracing.com is their Canadian distributor. Therefore, if you want Kartboy, that's the way to go.

do you have an american friend that will let you use their address?

Tokigi racing is Kartboy's international distributor - i asked them already - got the bushings only though - i have the B&M shifter.

or go in on that group buy they have going. might offset the currency conversion, but i doubt it.

i learned the hard way - if you want parts for the Pro, you gotta be willing to pay more.

I do have someone in Phoenix, but it will be too long.. I would prefer if I can buy stuff here localy (Vancouver, Canada). It would make more sense to buy the B&M here localy then. (Can't I do that?) so that in the end I wouldn't get all the BS fees added to my bill if I was to get KartBoy SS shiped.

I also read some post where someone waited 2 months or so to get the KartBoy delivered. And if that happens to me...it won't be good for my rage.

Anyway, is there a place here that seld B&M then.

I got my Kartboy bushings from another one of Kartboy's dealers; Serious Auto (www.seriousauto.com) in California. I bought 2 so I was able to split the shipping. Came straight to my door no duty. The shipping was $14 USD though. If you go the Serious Auto way, make sure to tell them to ship by regular post otherwise they ship by UPS and then you get dinged by brokerage fees.

As for the B&M shifter, I know Shane at JBs Auto here in Edmonton is shipping them all over. He sold one to someone else on the board in Winnipeg. He is also giving a good price to guys from this board so let him know that. Shane's number is 780-406-7030. Remember to speak to Shane. Added bonus you will only have to pay the GST and not the PST if you get it shipped from here.

I just talked to Shane and its 215 CND + 1 tax. It's kind of expensive. Plus I want the KartBoy bushings and they are 20 US + 14 US for shipping. that is about 50+ CND dollars.............

arghhhhhhhhhh......... (I am officialy frustrated)

Errr, does that mean you want cheap parts for your car? That shifter is really well made. Not trying to influence you or anything, but I think the price is okay for what it is. The B&M shifter is all one piece and really nice and I think the Katboy one is welded together. I have actually helped one of the other guys from the board to install his (spikeyC).

As for the Kartboy bushings, as I said, see if you can get some others so that you can split the shipping. At least 3 sets of bushings can fit in the padded envelope that it was mailed in.

No no, I'm not that bad, I just like to feel comfortable with the price...and I would have if it was in the 150 to 180 range.

I think it’s sinking in and any minute I may order the SSter.

Oh yea, and if anyone else wants to order the bushings and lives in the Vancouver area, let me know by posting here, and we can meet (in person) and order like 2 or 3 of those bushings. I want to keep it as simple as possible.

I wasn't following the group buys

These days I'm trying to organize group buys for my food let alone car parts. Anybody want in on a 6" sub from Subway? We'll get the footlong and split it and save some money!
