Are 18" wheels Dangerous?

I just have a quick ? Is it safe to have 18" wheels with the tire size 215/35/18? I'm just wondering b/c i might consider it. I used to want 17"s but now im thinking about 18. I just wanted to know if you guys know if it's safe to have that wheel n tire size combo. keep in mind this isn't going to be used in snow only in spring/summer/fall.

If the roads around where you live are less then perfect, you will be scuffing the hell out of your 18s unless you take it really slow.. or worse. 35 profile tires are gonna be virtually non-existant sidewalls to protect your wheels.

But, there's no downside for the car or anything, just stiffer ride and a little more weight in the wheels..
