Brake dust shields

I was curious as to whether or not anyone has found or is using a set of the vented brake shields on your car. I've seen them for a lot of cars, but the caliper on our car seems very close to the rim and looks as if is sits farther out than the hub actually does, meaning that the shields would have to be dished and fitted very tight to the rim.
Also, how well are they working at keeping the dust off your wheels? The stock wheels on the car look awesome when nice and clean, but man do they ever pick up brake dust fast!

If you think our Proteges have a brake dust problem, check out the Audi A4s

Not a significant problem on mine. Maybe it's because I don't have polished wheels, so I don't notice it that much.

whether you have the polished wheels....the newer ones are clear coated....or if you have painted wheels.....IF You will use a good polish on them just like you do on the rest of your car you will find that the brake dust doesn't stick as easily and makes them really easy to clean too....

not to mention....EVERY TIME I rotate the tires on the car....I wash the backside of the wheels as well...keeps the overall appearance of the wheels looking a lot better.

you could also just get some ebc green stuff pads. they are non-dusting. my friend has them on his 240sx and there is no dust now. he also said they helped him stop a lot better as well.
