What do you think of this combo? Will they work fine?

17X7 +45 offset, with 215/40/17 tires.

I have a '01 Protege Sedan.

Yup. And it's a wheel we wholesale and wholely recommend. Made in Japan, high quality casting. Race proven. Lightweight.

Do you think I need an alignment.

How are your front tires wearing when going to 17", 215/40/17 tires?

Get an alignment in any of these situations:

You're lowering the vehicle when doing this.

You're existing tires are wearing unevenly.

If you're tire wear is fine right now then it will have no affect on the new ones.
