Thanks guys for the compliments. I posted this thread on www.mazdamp3.com. The wheels are a 17*7 Racing Hart with a 40mm offset. I also have the Eibach Kit with 205/40/17 Kuhmo 711 tires. The car has an aggresive stance. I have no rubbing at all with the wheels I got even tho I was told I would rub no doubt. I can get 2 fingers between the wheel and the fender front and back. The ride is roughter but stiffer.

Weird how these offsets work. I have a friend with a blue P5 and 18s' with 35s' and +40 offset wheels, and he scrubs BAD at factory height?? Confuses me, since you have no rub at all, I dont know. I dont think I could tuck +40s'....have you loaded the back up with stuff yet to see if the tires sit on the fender lip?? Great looking car dude Later on..

I never have more then 3 people in the car. I never tried 4 people. My friend who put the springs on said that the Eibachs wont move that much cause there so stiff. Im not worreid about it. They might settle a little on the summer is what he told me.

You should point out that those are Racing Hart Evo's C5. It's a different company. RH doesn't make the C5 any more. Notice how they are devoid of the rivets around the outside edge. Still nice though.
As for the offset it can differ between company. A 40 offset is just scraping by with some models on the Protege5 on 17". On 18" you need either a higher offset or a smaller width.
But it can differ between company. A 40 offset on a companies wheel could actually be a 39 when compared with another.

Kincaid,Do you think I can tuck 17X7's with a +50 offset? I don't want to roll the fenders, I am hoping one day to run along some high offset 17's...I am happy with the 16's for now, but not much longer. I am just waiting and seeing. When I went to the NOPI show in Atlanta, almost all the P5's had fender damage, the Circuit City P5's rear quarter fenders were HORRID..someone had trimmed the little metal that is there, but the 17's still rubbed to the point the metal was cracking? I had no idea these cars had such a high offset, makes for an interesting search of wheels. I know wheelmax cant help me, or discount tire, or tirerack..none of those companies have high offset wheels. I did want to chrome my factories, but they are too small, 17's or 18's with little or no rubber would be better Thanks for your input dude. Later
