MZ3/MS3 RISHIE FITMENT GUIDe

Hi guys,

I'm still working on more details for this fitment guide. I just need to grab a few more different sized wheels and start playing.

VEHICLE USED: MAZDASPEED 3

OEM WHEEL SIZE: 18X7.0 +52.5 OFFSET
OEM TIRE SIZE: 215/45/17

BASELINE: MAZDA RX8 18X8.0 +50
TIRE SIZE: 245/40/18

This fit without any problems in terms of both Backspacing and frontspacing. I was enamored when seeing this.

THE FITMENT GUIDE: Beginnings of it

THEREFORE HERE'S MY BREAKDOWN BASED ON WIDTH OF WHEEL:

You have about a half inch more backspacing in the front and one inch of more room in the rear.

8.5 +50 with 245, might need a minor roll

8.0 +50 with 245 NP

8.0 +45 with 225 NP

7.5 +40

7.0 +35

This is simply from interpolation. I need to play around more and get some tires mounted on these wheels and into a lowered MZ3 with proper alignment settings.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm in Milpitas, near San Jose.

Thanks, Rishie

Now depending on if you have Mazdaspeed or not your tire profile will change from what i see.

It also appears to me that the RX8 wheel with its OEM tire 225/45/18 should also fit with the MS3.

Can anyone tell me if the MS has more room than the MZ? I obviously haven't got a MZ3 over here to compare to.

Post something looking for a regular Mazda3 in the area to try some fitments on ... there's probably somebody around who can help.

And are you ever going to sell that Probe

I think i got the standard MZ3 figured out.

The probe, ehh least of my problems. i did put the interior back in it though. just need to find door panels, put the battery back in the OEM location, change oil and hand it over to my mom or dad. i just wont' get **** for it and it has 80k on the chasis and like 30k on drivetrain.
