Question Proper Tire Inflation For 205/50/16's

The time is drawing closer where I'll have to replace my stock Dunlops, and am strongly considering moving up to 205/50/16's in order to improve ride/noise quality. I also understand we can get more for our money on tires of this size over the ridiculous prices they charge for our odd sized stocks.

That said, I'm intent on learning what the best inflation rates should be on tires of the 205/50/16 size. What I'm looking for is the optimum pressure to foster the best fuel mileage and tire life I can.

I know the proper pressure is noted on our door jams for stock sized tires, as recommended by Mazda, but would the same pressure rate go for 205/50/16's?

Thanks for your suggestions, guys!

Yes. Slightly higher pressure will yield slightly better fuel economy, and a stiffer ride.
