question bout changing tires for winter...
i never had winter tires before so im a little bit confused about something; am i suspose to get my tires (and rims) changed at a shop so that they align and install them or can i do it myself? do i need that alignment thing they do? if so, does that mean i have to bring my car back to the shop to get my summer tires back on in the spring?
thanks.
thanks.

If you are just getting tires, then unless you have the equipment, you will need a tire shop to mount and balance the wheels.
If you are getting a wheel for each tire, then you just need to have the tires mounted onto a wheel and balanced once. Then swap 'em out like u swap out a spare. No need for alignment.
Also, I read that it is not recommended that you use your snow tires when the ground is warmer than 5 degrees celsius (about 41 fahrenheit), otherwise you will lose rubber really fast.
So if it's not cold enuf for snow to be on the ground, then change up them tires.
