Speed6 fitments!
It's looking like that's what I'm going to buy, get one and try out some fitments asap ... first purchase after the car will be a set of rims. I've heard that you can't fit much more rubber than the stock 215's under 'em, find out for me bro
Also, link me to some pictures for the hot new rims these days. I'm kinda out of the loop.

here's my question.....
i have a set of RX-7 16x8's coming, and i want to know what your recommendation would be for a set of street tires. what size should i go with to avoid rubbing? do you recommend a brand and style? i don't auto-cross or track, so i don't NEED any thing too wild, but i'd like to get SOME longevity.

OK so I've done a
MZ6 Wheel setup before. And oddly enough the MZ3 can take a much easier and wider wheel/tire combo. Interesting huh....
So I haven't had the opportunity to compare fitments between the MZ6 and MS6, so I'll have to get a hold of my friend jarred, old MSP guy, and see if I can swing by to do the fitment on the MS.
Here's what I got last time and OH MAN IT WAS CLOSE:
18x8.0 +50 with 225's and it was uber close in the front and rear.
Therefore my Protege5 Recipe is good for this car, so 7.5" +45 or higher would work well on these cars.
Thanks, Rishie

Yes sir, that would be the safest assumption without fender mods.
But the MS6 might have wider fenders like the MS3 does. I've gotta get one over here and find out. the search and calls begin.

sorry, an '01 Protege ES. i would like to do 225/45's.
they were delivered the other day, and it looks like they will bolt up fine in the back, and the fronts look like they will need some grinding or spacers so they don't rub the struts. if i have to run spacers, i want them to go on all four corners for balance.

Well i think you'll definitely have to roll your fenders and yes you'll need a spacer in the front or notch the lower bracket/ears on the strut. That's what I noticed when i test fitted these like 6 years back.

i am still looking at rolling the fenders, and if i get an eastwood roller, i'll let you rent it from me....
