Resetting TPMS Sensors with the Advanced Remote Start
Hello, I just bought a 2013 Mazda 3 5 Door, and shortly after I purchased the car I bought new rims/tires with the TPMS sensors installed from Discount Tire Direct. I read in the user manual that to reset the TPMS sensor, you have to put the car in the ON position, then to the ACC for 15 minutes, then ON again and drive for like 10 miles before it resets. However, my dilemma here is that I can not use the key in the ignition like a normal car, it only has the push button start. You can use the key to start it if your remote is dead and whatever, but you just pop off the keyhole cover, put the key in the ignition (it won't turn) and then wait for the push button to light up before you press it to turn it on. To put the car into ACC you just push the push button without depressing the clutch, but you can not go from ON straight to ACC, as per the instructions to reset the TPMS sensors. I tried just putting it into ACC for 20 minutes and drove it around, but nothing happened. Does anyone have any solutions, or am I gonna have to take it back to the dealer and pay them for my incompetence?
