I've made the decision to can my current appearance of my car. i once thought about cruisin' in my pro but now i want the racer look. How stupid do chrome rims look anyway? My car should be treated better but instead I mistreat it awfully. I don't do it justice. I think black rims or dark metal would look better. I'm sick of chrome! hard to keep looking "pretty" and heavy as hell! Stupid!!!

 

i have 18" dark gun metal racing rims they look great on my blue nightblue protege

 

I have a set of lightweight rims with a polished aluminum lip on them. They look awsome however the aluminum is very hard to keep shiney. Much harder then chrome.

I dunno when I see chrome wheels I think pimp ride (Escalade, Tahoe, Lexus etc...) . I personally hate when someone puts chrome wheels on a sports car it just looks out of place now on the other side the 20" chrome wheels on the new Dodge Ram look sweet as hell....really depends on the car/truck/suv...

 

So it seems that i have three votes against chrome rims. Keep in mind i'm thinking about getting sports rims and forget about the mexican side in me that likes cruisin' on chrome!!

Pretty big picture you can see what an insane lip it is. IT reflects itsself! I need more of a side angle.

 

chrome sucks, get black with polished lip it looks sweet, or even gun metal, something dark and less flashy.

 

You know what? I've made my mind to make my car all-black. Not black rims, but darker like gunmetal or what import's talking about...pretty good feedback...I'll also lose the altezzas but not oem; i like the black jdm (i think they're called that)

 

Tint the altezzas it looks awsome
Usually when you tint tail ligts you get alot of red through but if you tint altezzas its all black becuase you have a nice clear surface to tint.

I just put my summer tires/rims on my car and thought I would share them with you. I think that I am somewhat partial to the chrome ones - they look fabulous on and especially when the car is in motion. Much better than the brushed alloys!

 

i like the look of black rims with a polished lip on a black car in motion, at night. The black dissapears and all you see is a silver ring suspended in air, it looks awesome or even the tenzo rims with the red ring and the black spokes. Its mostly personal choice and i personally dont like flashy things like chrome.

 

Yeah I like that! Summer rims alright. Especially cruising in the park; you know people are gawking! Something about chrome that makes people turn to notice...
