Is this rust normal?

I know the outer rim of the rotors usually produce rust when the car is idle for a period of time, but is the other rust normal?

since its the area where the disc pads do NOT touch? YES it is. the whole disc is NOT coated in anyway....thus exposed to corrosion.

yep, that one surprised me too, at first. Usually spirited driving takes that off in the first few pedal pushes.

You can actually produce that just by sitting in the rain for a bit, then looking at the car a few hours later...

BTW, you might want to get that tire valve cap....and a $4 valve tightener from Wallmart..

This is true for the outer rims of the rotor, but why does the inside rust? The break doesnt see the light silver part, where there is a rust streak.
