Snow tire size?

Snow tire size?
What is a good size for snow tires to use? I have some old 15" tires on rims from a Ford Probe. Have not sized them up to see if they work, but I think they might. Just need to see if the lugs line up OK. If I have to buy some, whats the right size to use?
