Thinking about 205/50/16 tires for my '02 ES

I know several members have them already. I am not lowered, and don't plan to. Are there any clearance issues with these on the stock 16x6 wheel? What about with a full load in the back? Any rubbing? Thanks.

I'm certainly not an expert on this item, but from what I read and know myself, I don't think that clearance will be an issue. The biggest issue with the tire fitments on the stock rims is the width of the rim - from what I gather most 205/50/16 tires will fit on the rim, but 205/45/16 won't because the rim will be too narrow to safely fit the lower profile tire. Most manufacturers post pretty detailed info about rim widths and tire circumferences and so on, so check out the ones you are interested. I am thinking seriously of 205/50/16s on my P5 when I need to replace the tires, as I think there will be no handling penalty, and likely an improved ride.

Good luck!

I think this is what I'm going to do when they wear out. Thanks.
