OKay so I dont know if I want to but the stock 215/45/17 potenza's for the MSP $175 each or go with the Kuhmo ecsta supra 712 215/45/17 for around $100 each

has anyone rode on kuhmo on their MazdaSpeed?

I've got the Sumitomo HTR+ on my P5 in the 215/40/17 size and could not be happier. I know the P5 has more weight but the Sumo's have worn great with no road noise, excelent grip in dry and wet and plenty more thread left after 25,000 + miles. Plus they cost around $85 to $90. Just a thought and another possible choice.

Kuhmos are a nice sticky tire. Grips the road really good. The Potenzas are good, but have only tried the ZR rated ones not sure of the rating on the stock ones.

The 712's are supposed to be decent and are a low price. I'll be getting those, the Toyo T1-S , or the ES100 this summer. You might also check the Dunlop Direzza DZ101, which looks like it has potential (saw them on Tire Rack)

From Cali eh? Well I heard that the Nitto NeoGen tires are actually pretty popular out there (this came from a discount tire guy and I'm not sure if it's accurate). I have them on my Protege and I really love the sleek look, feel, and the name of course!

wow this thread is about a month old. way to bring back a dead thread. Nitto NeoGen arent really that popular there in cali. Most people ride on Falkens, kumho in cali, havent seen many cars with neogens in cali.

Yeah i figured the info was bogus. My old tires before my new ones were falkens. I guess I liked the way they looked especially in those Import Tuner mags. C'mon!!
