Wheel nut torque spec
As I always hate it when the lug nuts of the car are put on with an air wrench set way to high (where you get to jump up and down on the lug wrench to get them loose) I decided to buy a torque wrench so that I can keep them at the correct torque... apparently if they are also not consistent it causes brake rotor warp.
On a P5, anyone know what that torque is?
I'm finding very little (none at all) useful information in my owner's manual... I thought that they used to print this stuff in there....
thanks.

yeah, i hate that air wrench gun for lug nuts. i bought myself a torque wrench (a nice one with case) and a deep socket, and do it myself. squarely mounting on the wheel is to do a star pattern at 30-lbs and then 60-lbs and then finally 85-lbs. note, during torqueing, wheels must be off the ground not resting. the manual stated 80-lbs (if you look in the flat tire section), but i put a little into it, 85-lbs. when i mounted my wheels this way, all the vibrations and shutters are gone (yeah, squarely mounted). 00-pro-lx, blk., 5-spd. with mods, spicy looking.
btw, over torque may cause breakage in nuts, bolts, threads, etc..

please don't be too hard on yourself. i was once did not know much, but i learn new things everyday. but glad to help in anyway i can. keep those nuts torqued right and you'll have a smooth ride (vibration-free).
