Will 8lb make a diff.

Does 8lb really make a diff. in quarter mile time?

the Racing Hart CP-8 weights 17lb each
the OZ Racing Superleggras weights 15lb each

these are 17" rims.

what do you guys think?

Well, you only REALLY have to worry about the front two wheels, because they are the ones being driven. Sure, the ones in the back weigh more too, but they're just along for the ride. The difference of that would be negligible. So really you only have to be worrying about 4 lbs. give or take. How much do the factory rims weigh? Chances are you're going to be saving a little weigh, or at most putting on a few lbs. Those are pretty light 17s.

To answer your question, I don't think there is much of a difference. Possibly a tenth or so difference between the two rims.

im starting to get into autocrossing. when i was out at the course everyone was telling me that they got lighter rims and that did make a diff on their time. I like both rims but i think the racing harts look better.
