Winter Tires/Rims
Picked up my P5 today and dealer made comment about the all season tires on it, "there not the best in snow". He said they have a deal for $600 i get basic old crappy rims and good snow tires to use for in winter....
Are the Dunlops really that bad, or is he tryin to get more money from me? I live in eastern ontario, so we get major snow sometimes plus I live in country so roads arn't always plowed when they should be....
OH YA and i only stalled 3 times learning to drive standard today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehe, tirerack.com check them out
i was there today looking for all seasonperformance tires.. and found the kumho ecsta hp4 716's to have good value and quite good user ratings for the snow and yet have good performance ratings..
these kumho's were near the top and (had the highest snow rating there) and they're cheap.. i phoned one local dealer to find out they were about 100 CAD/tire

I've got the same question living in NY and proud owner of new silver 2002 P5. My experience with Dunlop D60/A2s in the past was bad as far as snow goes. The SP3000's were supposedly aweful in the snow, the SP5000's are supposed to be better. Anyways, I'd start saving for a snow tire/wheel package from tirerack. You get steel rims with wheel covers and the snow tires-but it'll be about $600.
