ok, looks as though the board had some issues when i first post this two days ago, hence the empty post...but here goes, again:

just wondering what you guys are running on your P5s this or past winters?...anyone have 14" rims? they are a heck of a lot cheaper than the 15 inchers on both the rim and rubber, but just want to make sure there is enough clearance for the brakes and what not...what about tires?

i'm leaning towards the Toyo G-02 plus or maybe the Dunlpo Graspic DS1...thoughts?

TIA

I don't think 14"s will fit over the brakes. Besides, going down 2" in wheel size will make handling pretty sloppy. Why ruin one of the P5's best attributes?

I have 15" Borbet Type-S wrapped with Michelin Artic Alpins. I paid $580US from Tire Rack. click here for pictures When I chose the tire, I looked over reviews of the Blizzack and Graspic as well. There didn't appear to be that much of a performance increase to justify the price difference.

Since you're in Toronto ...
There are a couple of places that have winter packages available for us Protege peoples. Check some of the threads on the toprotege board for more details.

I have 15' wheels with Goodyear UltraGrip 500 tyres (195/65 R15)

Tyres are with steel spikes!
