November 7th meet
#2
Interesting spot for a meeting. I have been there and the noise levels are extremely high, hearing protection is needed just to stand there and watch.
Might I suggest that we have a meeting at a Tim's so that we can discuss the club, its direction and that so called name. If we're going to use Manitoba Mazda members we better be prepared to offer something more then lets meet once in a while and show off our painted brake calipers.
I suggest we meet and discuss where this club is going and set a direction. Once we do that then we can do outings at speed world and such..
I'm in for this Sunday, 7pm, Tim's in Lindenwoods off Keniston

Someone should check with the track to make sure there is open karting at 7pm on Sunday. They run league races and those take priority.
They sell hearing protection (rubber squishy's u put in your ears) for 50 cents (i think) at the track. My referance to the noise was because its not a good place to discuss anything other then ** screaming at top of lungs** "wow that was a kewl spin out in the 3rd corner"
I also believe that a 10 minute run is $15.00 and 2 ten minute runs for 7 or more people (group rate) is $25.00 and if u have never been there its another $5 for a karting membership.
I have done 2 back to back 10 minute runs and i was tired afterwards, but i also auto-x'd all day prior to going karting.
I suggest you wear older clothes and bring a set of gloves for driving. They provide full face helmits and beleclava's for under the helmit to protect your head from the previous persons sweat and hair left inside.
The karting was different but I didn't enjoy it that much... ( too tired that day ) and the karts are hard to handle because of the slippery concrete surface in the building.
Let's see a show of hands of who is going and who is not, and someone should check to see if Sunday is available. After I see a show of hands, I'll let you know if I will race or not. In anycase I will probably show up to laugh at you all and see who really comes out.
