The time is near....
Hey WPC, the time is fast approaching that I'll have to trade the P5 in... my fiance started her own wedding decorating business (e-mail ambianceweddingdesign@shaw.ca if you need wedding decorating!!) and we need to upgrade our vehicle.
We're currently looking at a few options... A Jeep Liberty Sport, A Mazda Tribute, a Mazda MPV, and a Dodge Caravan... Have to say that I'm leaning towards the Dodge Caravan due to it's price and 0% Lease or Purchase financing... What are your thoughts??
The reason for upgrade is for the room, and the ability to tow a (roughly in size) 6' x 10' enclosed trailer.
Still driving the P5 though... so I'm still having fun!!!

don't get the caravan dude, we used to have a caravan for bout 5 years and we had to get the transmission rebuilt like 4 times and replaced once, and beyond that the thing spend more time getting fixed then it did driving...plus they're not as safe as they make them out to be...my mom was driving it last year and someone sideswiped her going like 60 and the van rolled 4 times...i've got pictures...its not a nice thing too see.

I agree, don't get the dodge caravan, we also had major headaches with the tranny, repaired many times, replaced twice during a four year period, spent alot of time in the shop for other problems too. Other people we know that had the caravan had the same complaints and have all got rid of theirs. My husband has had many other vehicles over the years and said that the caravan was by far the most unreliable vehicle he has ever owned. Comfortable - yes, but that's about the only good thing to say about it.

Well, after hearing the comments, and getting quotes from dealers... we decided to keep the P5 and just rent/borrow for now when we need the hauling power. Major setback was that they couldn't put a towing package on the regular size caravan, so we would've had to go with the Grand Caravan... No thanks!!
So the P5's staying and I just got a set of DaveB's guage rings in the mail so they're going on one of these days!!
