Gerry Gordon's service manager Les or whatever his name is, is a total asshat. If he can find a way to prevent you from getting warranty work, he will. I bought my car at Gerry Gordon's, but after repeated hassles and in my opinion potential scamming even, I went to Destination and have been happy since.

i can confirm that yes, les is no longer the manager at gerry gordons, he has also been moved out of destination to some honda dealership. i would have to recommend destination. i've worked with the two guys in the back, they are both mazda master tech certified. i know that at least two of the guys at gerry gordons are masters as well but i dont know them personally. also the service manager at destination (Don) is pretty good about warranty.

Yeah, I get my work done at Destination as well .
Yes, I agree Derek's a pretty good guy, as is Guy. Both are pretty knowledgable with regards to Mazda products and are great to talk to. They are also both careful around my car, and that's super important to me; I'm really **** when it comes to that kind of stuff .
Don, the service manager is a great guy to deal with. When I had a problem, he addressed it right away, no questions asked. His customer service is something that many dealerships lack!
I went to Gerry Gordon's for service once, and I wasn't impressed to say the least. The lady who works in serivce there doesn't know jack! I went in and told her that Mazda had released the re-flash for the Mazdaspeed and I wanted to get it, she said I couldn't have it unless my check engine light was on, only then could they do it! She also went on to say that I can't just walk in there to get something fixed if it's running fine in the first place. Of course, if she would have read the TSB put out my Mazda, she would have realized that it was to fix the hesitation issues that Mazdaspeeds were having ,and that the reflash was also to be performed on any unsold Mazdaspeeds still sitting at dealships.
Cheers.

I'm never going back to gauthier again.
Thoroughly dissapointed with their service work.
I hit a curb with my rear driver side wheel, inspected it and there was only alignment damage.
I went to gauthier to get a 4 wheel alignment. I ended up paying to have them look at my car and say there was frame damage from an existing accident in the front, and that the front drivers wheel was "pushed back an inch". Recommended me to go to autopac$$$$$
So I took my car to a frame shop, they measured it and said the front wheel wasn't even off by 1/100 of an inch. All it needed was an alignment
I'm going to try out destination, since it's closer to me now.

Meh I don't know if anyone really cares about this, but it is kinda relevant, even if it sounds like advertising.
Jim Gauthier didn't actually own Jim Gauthier Mazda until very recently, as in last summer. He had money invested in it, his name was on the store but in reality he had basically nothing to do with the dealership. He bought the remaining portion out last summer and started restructuring the dealership.
So it's kinda like it's under new ownership. I can't say it going to be better for sure, but I don't know if anyone has noticed but a ton of the staff has been replaced. Jim wasn't happy with how it was being run and he has actaully taken steps to change things around there. If you didn't notice the staff changes, notice how the RV's are disapearing. That part of the dealership is on it's way out.
I would suggest that if you had problems with them go down and tallk to the management, maybe they will try to make it up to you. Either way try to seperate the bad and good keeping in mind that it's not the same store it was a year ago.
